Motor development

The motor development of the child is a process that matures with the maturation of the Central Nervous System and concerns the acquisition of the ability to progressively stand upright by managing the movements and postures associated with this skill. It also concerns the ability to coordinate the movement of limbs, and the acquisition of fine motor skills that have to do with the use of tools and the development of advanced eye-hand coordination. For exercises and tips on how to support your child in this specific area of development, you can download the relevant PDF documents on the page.
