Community Development Institute (CDI)
The Community Development Institute (CDI) – is a non-governmental and non-profit national umbrella association for sustainable development, education and social services from N. Macedonia. The CDI’s experience is based on more than 25 years’ work within the community, addressing citizens’ problems and needs and helping in overcoming challenges. CDI provides workplace for people from different ethnic and social backgrounds, and offers non-formal education in the fields of project management and employment skills.
Strategic aims:
- Improvement of the living conditions and standard of life.
- Strengthening of the democracy and civil society;
- Vocational Education and Training
- Economic development
- Social services, cohesion and inclusion
- Improved inter-ethnic relations
At International level, the CDI strategy is by being member in European platforms and networks to exchange knowledge and collaborate in partnerships with other organizations and institutions. The CDI is a member of several European networks such as European Civic Forum, SOLIDAR, SAMARITAN, European Network for innovation in inclusion, and other networks.
Being involved in the networks, the CDI past 7 years managed to be involved in more than 30 multilateral projects, and to strengthen its position as knowledge provider and resource distributor in Macedonia.
